This Woman Has the Largest Blanket you’ve ever seen and She Made it herself!

Remember when you were little and your parents struggled to separate you from your ‘blankey’. Chances are, despite the fact that some of you may be a little older now, there’s still a blanket in your home that you absolutely adore snuggling with.

Brace yourselves: no blanket may ever be able to bring you joy after you set your sights on this one…

Okay, that’s a huge blanket! And oh so cozy looking.

 

She started out by rolling strands of wool batting in an old sheet to get them into the right shape.

 

To lightly felt the wool, she had to wash it first. To do so, she tightly tied individual sections of the rolled sheet into tubes so that they wouldn’t fall apart during the washing.

 

Once they were washed, she hung the strands of wool out to dry completely. After they were all dried up, it was time to begin the weaving process.

 

Now, you’d need some pretty huge needles to knit these giant strands together. That’s why she used huge pieces of PVC pipe as knitting needles.

 

 

Now that’s some hardcore knitting…

 

It looks like hard work and determination definitely pays off in the end. Can you imagine how warm and snug this quilt is?
