For The Love Of A Grandmother This Man’s Touching Tribute To His Grandmother Will Move You

For many of us, our grandmothers are (or were) like second mothers to us. They nurtured us, loved us, and spoiled us rotten. The relationship between a grandmother and her grandchildren is truly a beautiful one, as those of us who have been fortunate enough to know our grandmothers know.

Giancarlo Murisciano is one such person with a tremendously strong bond with his grandmother. Unfortunatley, with old age, certain diseases, like Alzheimer’s, can kick in. Murisciano posted a picture on Facebook on New Year’s Eve that broke the hearts of people around the world.

The picture shows him cradling his 87-year-old grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s. The image was liked 400,000 times and shared 37,000 times. Alzheimer’s is a fairly common disease which is devastating for not only those who suffer from it, but also for their near and dear.

Giancarlo wrote that he shared the picture “without shame or fear” to remind people in the new year that “life should always be lived.”

We must always cherish every single moment that we have with those we love and never take anything for granted. Sometimes, we all get caught up in our busy lives and forget to tell those around us how much they truly mean to us. Messages like these are helpful and humbling reminders to all of us that life is precious; a true gift. We must cherish it with full hearts, always.
