Do Animals Drink Just Like Us Click Here To Find Out

Nothing beats the taste and feeling of drinking an ice cold glass of water on a warm day. As humans, we all know that it is recommended that we drink around 8 glasses of water a day. We drink so many fluids on a daily basis that the act of drinking itself is almost second nature to us; we don’t think about how we’re doing it.

But have you ever wondered how animals drink? If you have pets, you leave out bowls full of water for them to drink, but they they may not be drinking like us.

1. Take cats for example: they have tiny hairs on the surface of their tongues. This is what cause their kisses to be scratchy and uncomfortable.

Cat tongues are really strange. Tiny hairs on the surface are what cause their kisses to be scratchy and uncomfortable. Incredibly, science tells us that those hairs don't play any part in the drinking process, as was once thought.

The cat just barely touches the surface of the liquid with its tongue, and quickly pulls it up. This creates a column of water.
