When He Reached For A Box Of Cereal, This Guy Received A Horrifying Surprise

One of the wonderful things about Australia is how close its major cities are to the untamed wilderness. This is an amazing aspect of an already beautiful country, if you’re a lover of the outdoors. The only downside is how the wilderness sometimes gets a little too close for comfort.

This is exactly what happened to 22-year-old Jarred Smith. Smith picked up his box of corn flakes last week, looking to eat something tasty for lunch. Instead, Smith found a 6 foot long diamond python coiled tightly inside the box. Lucky for us, Smith decided to shoot a short video documenting his predicament.

Smith soon called the authorities to help him deal with the python situation. A member of the New South Wales Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service arrived and tore open the box to remove the snake because it was tightly coiled.

Fortunately for Smith, diamond pythons are fairly tame and typically don’t bite humans. They prefer to ambush and kill by constricting their prey. What a relief!
