Breathtaking Teabag Art

Artist Red Hong Yi has become quite famous for her incredible creations. She achieves this with the most unlikely of materials. With this particular piece, the artist celebrated her homeland, Malaysia, and its rich culture. This piece was of a “teh tarik Man,” or a tea seller. The teh tarik “pulled tea” in Malay is a common beverage served in most coffee shops around the country. The tea is sweet, frothy, and milky. In other words, it’s absolutely delicious! The most amazing thing about this large portrait is that Red made it using over 20,000 teabags!
