Air Travels Golden Days The 70s

Today, flying can be an absolute nightmare. We’ve got plane’s going down left, right, and center, disappearances, horrific lines and invasive searches at the airport, and skyrocketing prices. Does that sound like an exiting trip to you? No!

Air travel wasn’t always like this. There was a time, not too long, back in the 60’s and 70’s when going on a plane was a luxurious and comfortable experience. Just take a look and see for yourself.

The service of the 70’s was beyond compare.

Great airplane travel service and experiences existed in the 1950s and '60s, but it was incredible around the 1970s.

The business class cabin was spacious and comfortable…

From a spacious business class...

And the stewardesses were fun-loving and extremely helpful.

...to a happy and fun stewardess crew.

Flying was an experience that people looked forward to.

Flying was something people looked forward to, not something to dread.

There may not have been too much overhead storage space, but no one seemed to mind.

Even though they had less overhead space in economy, no one felt nickled and dimed when they checked their bags for free.

Can you imagine flying like this?

Don't you wonder if we'll ever get this back?

This seems like a luxury compared to what we have now. Even business class pales in comparison to ’70s travel. Now I’m going to be even more upset when I travel during the holidays.
